This year for our spring rally we're having a "hands on" project. We will assemble Health kits for Lutheran World Relief. These Kits will be taken to our District convention in June and then distributed throughout the world where needed.

This is a wonderful opportunity for us to involve the younger generation of girls in our congregation. Please bring your daughters, granddaughters and special young ladies to work on this project with us.

Below is a list of the items that we will need for each kit. Please note that no substitutions are allowed, we need exactly what they ask for. We priced these items at Wal-Mart and found that you could purchase enouugh for an entire kit for as little as $5.25. Along with the items listed below we will need yarn or ribbons to tie each bundle and rubber bands to secure the band-aids.

These are the items we need for each health kit:

one hand towel, dark color recommended one washcloth, dark color recommended one bath-size bar (4 to 5 oz.) of soap, any brand, in its original wrapping one adult-size toothbrush in its original packaging one sturdy comb, remove packaging one metal nail file or nail clippers with file attached, remove packaging (do not substitute cardboard emery boards for the file) Six Band-Aids (or similar brand), preferably 1/2" to 3/4"; secure together with a rubber band Do not add other items or leave out any of the items listed. All items should be new and in good condition. or you may donate below $5.25 per pack
